Livery History
Back in 1988 British Rail decided to create sectors in the rail freight industry:oil, metals, coal, distribution and construction. Each sector had a branded logo which was used until 1993.
Our loco livery was metals (blue and yellow arrows logo) but also hauled oils and petroleum and coal. She was based from Cardiff, Motherwell and Thornaby in Teeside.
Coming up to 30 years of the introduction of the livery, The Heavy Tractor Group has decided it was time for a re-paint to her original look.
